Manar Daoud Barghouti. Final Entry

During the painful course registration, I had few options and this class though not on my original plan of the semester, stood out as more interesting than others, plus it fit with my schedule so I went for it, being honest that is. That is what my decision was based on at that time.
I found the first reading of War and Peace by Tolstoy to be interesting. However, hard and boring to read, though later with the connection it had to all the other readings it proved to be a very good choice as a starting point. I am not sure if this is the right way to put it, but the way the readings were on a theoretical, historical and modern levels of thought, I found them to be very interesting as well as important in order to reach a full general understanding of the classes' subject, and although I might have not enjoyed reading some of them, I nevertheless do not deny the added value of each and every one to the current knowledge obtained from this course.
Understanding the necessity behind a certain method of evaluation a professor is obliged to use other than that of only oral discussions in class, and so the essays we had in addition to the presentations led me for what might be the first time ever in my educational "path" to have no "student objections”. On the contrary it helped me feel fully engaged with the course; it was indeed a very interactive method, thus no matter how hard it was sometimes to understand the texts assigned everything was always cleared out after a great discussion. Coming from a university where student teacher relations most of the time are friendly ones more than official, this classroom was definitely the friendliest of all my courses at Sciences Po throughout this year, as a result i am grateful for the comfortable atmosphere of the class which had helped me feel at ease learning and participating.
Looking back it now, I am glad the course registration led me to be a part of this class; i have through daily conversations noticed the thoughts, learned from the course, when referencing an article a reading or the discussions outside class. I apologize if this final essay did not address a certain topic it was supposed to, nevertheless having the choice to format the final post on my own, i will end by hoping the interest and information gained regarding this topic will be help me enhance my knowledge further more in the future.
